The fundamental
approach

Matthew Zoltan’s rare insight is based on decades of hands-on research, reflection and solid experience from successfully working with clients and patients with all sorts of physical and mental health issues, and with meditators interested in their own self-development.

His approach to meditation is rooted in his deep understanding of the body’s natural healing function, his own experiential discoveries and consequent understanding of the (so-called) mind and body to be one and the same thing.

His understandings of the significance of physical feelings or the felt sense of the body as our fundamental source for understanding and healing ourselves, and his ability to impart this to others, is unique.

There is nothing mystical about what he has discovered or has to share, yet most people have never heard of anything like this before. His insights come from his own biological process, a process that cannot be known by thought, but only at a fundamental level of experiencing the live physical sensations unique to the human body.

Through years of personal enquiry, Matthew has come to understand the correct and optimal function of the human organism. He has discovered and proven that everything in life (beyond the purely mechanical) is primarily understood through the felt sense in the body – how we physically feel, moment to moment. And that it is here, at this physical felt sense in the body, where all trauma, distress and illness is resolved.

A maverick from way back

During Matt’s seven years as a monk, ending in 1986, he came to recognise the lack of relevance that traditional meditation had in real life. He set out to demystify meditation whilst maintaining, enhancing and exposing its massive benefits, otherwise generally unachievable through any other act of life. He has made it widely accessible and real to any person, and free of all spiritual or religious attachments, set techniques or fanciful goals.

It took a further 10 years or so from running a busy natural healing clinic, and hundreds of meditation courses and retreats, for Matt to be satisfied that what he had discovered and developed actually worked for everyone.

Over the following two decades, he observed, in many hundreds of people using this approach, a dramatic decrease in the physical breakdown of their bodies that would normally lead to poor health or illness. The escalation of internal reactions that commonly lead to mental or stress-based breakdowns was also no longer occurring in their lives.

What he had discovered and understood was to become the most effective, direct and no-nonsense approach to meditation in existence today…that we know of.
